Isn’t it a great feeling when someone praises you behind your back?
Well, that happened to me just an hour ago.
A friend of mine had helped me set up a meeting with a potential client back in April. Today, I found out that the client was quite impressed with us. But knowing how my mind works, I stay cautious. Until we get a repeat order, I won’t relax. In fact, we’re still negotiating the first order. Fingers crossed.
As for today, my day started late — my fault. It began with a core team meeting. I think I enjoy talking and sharing stories. I feel I’m improving every day. I truly believe I can become a good mentor for my team. It makes me happy to see them grow.
Ten years ago, I either wasn’t good at this or the team I had wasn’t the right fit. Over time, I’ve changed team members until I found those who could really be assets.
But oh God, I felt completely drained after the meeting. It felt like I’d done a lot, even though it was just one session. I got really sleepy — maybe because of a lack of drive or clarity? Thankfully, black coffee helped me get through the rest of the day.
Observation:
I’ve noticed that if I schedule tasks early in the day, I’m able to focus better and feel less overwhelmed.
